What is Lotto betting?

Lotto betting is not the same as buying a ticket into the official draw

It is conducted through an independent company, like us, who is not connected to the lottery operator. Any money you win is paid out by the independent company and not the lottery operator.

Here's an example. Let's say you use Lottoland to bet on the US Powerball jackpot and correctly guess all the numbers drawn. We'll pay you the prize money and not the US Powerball operator.

How it works

You pick the numbers that you think will be drawn and if guessed correctly, you win prizes normally in the form of cash. The prize depends on how many numbers you matched. 

We operate an insurance model which means that each bet made is insured. We’ll pay all smaller wins directly from the revenue generated from sales. Larger jackpot wins will be covered by our insurance model.

This model enables us to offer you the ability to win huge jackpots offered by lottery operators from all over the world.

Prize match

We’ll match the prizes of each tier, including the jackpot, that the lottery operators pay out. So, any winning experience is as if you bought a lottery ticket.

Here's another example. Let’s say you bet on the US Powerball lottery and guess 5 numbers correctly but not the Powerball. You'd win the second prize tier which is around £34,000. We’ll match this prize and pay you the prize money.
